The University of Dubai, through its Cyber-Security and Applied Resilience (C-SAR) Center, has successfully completed the second edition of the Cyber-Security Training and Readiness (C-ST&R) Program — a flagship initiative aimed at accelerating national cyber talent and strengthening the UAE’s cybersecurity workforce.
Delivered in partnership with leading industry collaborators including Exordium, CyberGate Defense, emt, and RedTeam Hacker Academy, the program featured intensive hands-on sessions, real-world simulation labs, and interactive workshops. A highlight of this edition was a guest session by Cyberbit and Gamal Emara, focusing on how the rapidly evolving threat landscape demands immersive, experiential training to prepare future cybersecurity professionals.
Participants gained practical experience in offensive and defensive operations through an indoor Capture-the-Flag (CTF) competition powered by RedTeam Hacker Academy. Congratulations to the CTF winners, Farzana Akbari and Muzghan Wafa, for their outstanding performance and teamwork during the final challenge.
This program reflects the University’s commitment to bridging academia and industry through skill-based education and applied learning. By engaging with top cybersecurity organizations, C-SAR continues to build capacity, enhance cyber readiness, and inspire students to contribute to a safer digital ecosystem.
