University of Dubai and emt Enter Strategic Partnership to Advance Cybersecurity Education and Training

Dubai, UAE

The University of Dubai (UD), an AACSB and ABET accredited institution, through its Cyber-Security and Applied Resilience (C-SAR) Center, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with emt, a leading cybersecurity solutions and services provider in the Middle East and Africa region. The agreement was signed by Dr. Eesa Bastaki, President of the University of Dubai, and Mr. Mo Mobasseri, Chief Executive Officer of emt, during a ceremony held in Dubai.

This partnership outlines key areas of collaboration, including the joint promotion of C-SAR initiatives, preferential access to educational and professional programs for employees and their families, and the development of collaborative research projects in cybersecurity and digital resilience. It also focuses on providing students with real-world experience through internships, practical training, and mentorship opportunities facilitated by emt experts.

Through this collaboration, students from the College of Engineering and IT (CEIT) will benefit from exposure to current industry practices, gaining hands-on experience through guest lectures, specialized seminars, and solution presentations conducted by emt professionals. These initiatives aim to equip students with the technical and analytical skills needed to address today’s complex cybersecurity challenges.

The MoU will remain in effect for two years, reinforcing both parties’ dedication to supporting the UAE’s national priorities in cybersecurity, education, and digital resilience.

Pioneering cutting-edge research and technological advancements to lay the foundational groundwork for a secure and resilient digital landscape of the future hyper-connected society.
